RTOG holds two group membership meetings each year. Scientific sessions and symposia are featured at each meeting as well as sessions for each of the group's scientific, disease site, and oversight committees.
The major learning objectives for oncologists and other health care professionals at the RTOG semiannual meetings are to:
- Participate in the development of clinical and translational research programs that test leading therapeutic alternatives for adult malignancies
- Increase participants’ knowledge about the optimal therapeutic and diagnostic approaches for specific forms of cancer
- Disseminate new information on approaches
