Primary Objective:

To determine if split course irradiation has better treatment tolerance, tumor control, and curability than standard uninterrupted radiotherapy for carcinoma of the base of tongue, tonsillar fossa, nasopharnyx, urinary bladder stages C and D and uterine cervix stages IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and IVA.

Patient Population:

Patients with untreated carcinoma of the nasopharynx, tonsillar fossa, and base of tongue; carcinoma of the uterine cervix stages IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and IVA; carcinoma fo the urinary bladder stages C and D.
